Waiting Room Area

This is our spacious and clean waiting room. We also stock an assortment of premium foods and healthy snacks for pets here.
We know that sometimes people may be concerned that their pets could be exposed to airborne illnesses while in the waiting room of an animal hospital. Could your healthy pet, who may be at the clinic for a simple wellness checkup, be exposed to an illness from another pet in the waiting room? This fear has certainly crossed our minds when we visit our own physician's or pediatrician's offices. Well, we have tried to alleviate this concern for our clients at Dunnellon Animal Hospital.
First, we use hospital grade disinfectants at the hospital and NEVER expose or mix healthy and sick pets in the same housing locations. Pets with contagious diseases are care for in a special isolation room. Also, all boarded and hospitalized pets must be current on recommended immunizations, intestinal parasite and flea control.
Furthermore, for you and your pet's safety and comfort, our reception and treatment area ventilation system is equipped with a special Air Purification System. This system consists of maximum-intensity UV light rays and innovative filters housed within our air handlers. Utilizing these patented germicidal lamps and filters, any germs, spores, bacteria and virus particles that can cause illnesses are automatically deactivated, destroyed, and removed before the air is recirculated into the waiting room and treatment area.

We have 2 easy to use and convenient scales so you can keep track of your pets weight!
